The story of Hyllie Bryggeri began in 2015 in a garage in Vintrie, located just outside of Malmö . Our founder, Michael, initially experimented with what was merely the initial spark of our current endeavors. In 2019, with the addition of Erik to our team, the journey of transforming a small garage brewery into a thriving business commenced. Our objective was as clear as a German pilsner: to craft beer that would evoke pride among the people of Malmö.

In 2020, with the inclusion of our experienced head brewer, Johan, the voyage was truly poised to begin.

Having operated as a wandering brewery for our first six years, we finally gained access to our modern, new facility in 2021. Perfectly situated in the heart of Malmö, we can genuinely attest that our dedication is to our city.

Today, nearly a decade on from our inaugural batch, we produce roughly 250,000 liters of beer annually, a figure that cements our standing as the largest brewery in Malmö and one of the most influential breweries in southern Sweden. Whether filling the shelves of Systembolaget, decorating tables at restaurants around Malmö or making waves at specialized craft beer establishments, our beer’s presence is felt not only throughout Sweden, but also across Europe.
